Welcome to The Savoy…

How do you craft a show fit for London’s original luxury hotel?

After the BAFTAs wrapped up in 2024, presenter Alex Zane started spending more and more time at the Savoy; and whilst the gig had paid well… I didn’t think it was that well.

We came on board to develop The Savoy Originals: where the luxury hotel handpicked eight guests blazing a trail in British society.

The Brief

Sponsored by champagne brand Lauren Perrier, each episode opens with a clink of champagne flutes as we toast the success of each guest, and interogate the journey that brought them to a penthouse suite at the Savoy.

  • 8x audio episodes + pilot

  • vertical video clips for social media

  • exceeded client and sponsor’s KPIs during campaign

  • organic reach of 1m+ on social media

  • renewed for a second season

Bottling Success

Timing is everything: we caught Layton Williams just as he won his Olivier (for playing an iceberg) and Nick Mohammed as he was about to enter Celebrity Traitors and Ted Lasso season three was announced.

As with all podcasts in 2025, social content was as important as the audio - carefully honing stories for the Savoy’s Instagram, YouTube and TikTok feeds.

Aimed at millenials as they start to find success in their own career, the series is designed to show how important it is to hold on to your roots, and find time to express gratitude for where you’ve come from.

From day one, their expertise and professionalism have been invaluable. We knew we wanted to create something distinctive, something that would push boundaries and offer a fresh perspective on The Savoy. As avid podcast listeners ourselves, the idea of launching our own series was exciting, but we had no idea where to begin.

Rethink guided us every step of the way and we’ve always felt in safe hands. Thanks to their insight and support, we now have a podcast we’re genuinely proud of, one that’s gaining traction, sparking conversation, and paving the way for more.

We’ve learnt a huge amount along our podcast journey, and are happy to have Rethink already signed up for series two and three. We’re looking forward to creating the next phase of The Savoy Originals together.
